Physics and Chemistry
Physics is the study of the natural laws which govern our universe. Chemistry focuses on the properties of atoms and molecules and how they combine to produces the colossal range of substances, natural and man-made, which make up our world. Together, they form the foundations of the natural sciences. But they clearly pose fundamental questions: Why are there natural laws at all which are constant and intelligible? How can incredible complex biological molecules like proteins and DNA arise in nature? Chemistry and physics lie at the heart of the design argument because it is difficult to see how their complexities could arise without an intelligent mind operating behind nature.
